Dying Light is a first-person survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world, where you scavenge for supplies during the day, and pray for survival at night against zombies. The new trailer released today by Techland and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment sets zombies aside to focus on the effect of a zombie apocalypse on the survivors, and questions the possibility of keeping your humanity in a desolate dystopian world. Dying Light is due for release later this year, and the new trailer gives an insight into the immense gameplay world, special infected, and cautiously questions what hope survivors have when the infected world takes the last of their hope and benevolence.
Although a release date has not be confirmed, Dying Light already promises a number of single-player and multi-player options, with gameplay including four playable and upgradable characters, brutal melee and ranged combat, as well as a crafting system which lets you turn simple items into powerful weapons and create specialized ammunition.
Dying Light is available for pre-release now, and Techland are offering an exclusive ‘Be the zombie’ gameplay option when you pre-order.
